Hagan family is very proud to present another strong group of horses this year. There are very few guarantees in the horse world, but one you can count on is that these horses are what we say they are. Our goal is to promote and showcase locally bred horses by offering for sale mentally and physically sound trainable horses.
All Hagan sale horses have been moved into the ranch program first before taking on any other jobs. With this strong foundation, the prospective buyer can feel comfortable pursuing any discipline. By placing these horses in stressful, strenuous and out-of-the-ordinary situations, we are able to test them mentally and physically, preparing them for future training. All of these horses offered are presented to you with confidence, excitement and honour. Hopefully, you will find a horse that suits your needs. Please feel comfortable asking any questions about the horses in our sale offering.

Lot 1 - Bart
1999 Grade Black Gelding
Big Black Bart is what this sale is all about. This is one of Shawne's personal ranch horses. Bart is a prime example of the kind of horse we want to build our reputation on. He can be rode by anyone at any level, and he is exactly the same whether he is rode everyday or once a month. Bart is a big stout finished ranch horse with no risk of breaking down, ready for a big outfit that needs work done on horseback. He is extremely strong on the horn and his mind never strays from the job at hand. Bart is the one who gets the call when there is a tough job - whether it is roping sulky bulls or taking the hind leg on a feisty colt. Quite simply put, it doesn't get any better than this. |
Lot 2 - Chingy
1999 Grade Sorrel gelding
Chingy is Thomas's ideal ranch horse. He has definite eye appeal and the look of a good cowboy's horse. He is deep, with as much heart girth as you'll see. Chingy will never melt away. He has everything - size, looks, color, and conformation. Chingy has had a Lot of riding over the years and this summer was moved into the ranch horse program. He has good leg control and backs off the bit nicely. With all this said, he could continue as a ranch gelding, be a riding gelding, or a dominant arena horse. We hope you like this horse as much as we do. |

This horse is so talented; the possibilities for his future are endless. He is an extremely athletic horse and is possibly the most structural sound and eye-appealing horse we've ever owned. Taco has put a Lot of miles on chasing cows, with both Thomas and Felicity putting equal amounts of time on him. We tried to keep this horse's options open by keeping him flexing and as supple as we could in a snaffle for barrel racing while switching the next day to a tie down and a bit to work on his roping. Taco has been doing barrel stations to build a foundation. We look forward to seeing which way this horse goes, it's in your hands now, you decide. |

Best put, Nick just never does anything to make you mad. Ladies don't pass this man by, he looks the part and with his beautiful mind, he'd make a fun winter project. Go ahead, he's ready. "Little Pete" as he was affectionately named by 3 of our nieces, doesn't know he is little. Alistair rode him all winter at the auction mart Lots of sale days clocking the hours. He has done every job on the ranch from roping bulls, to calving cows, to alley sorting. Pete will be missed, but he will do us proud whether he is being hauled as a rodeo heel horse, a team penning horse, or just staying home at the ranch to replace that damn 4-wheeler!
