This horse is so talented; the possibilities for his future are endless. He is an extremely athletic horse and is possibly the most structural sound and eye-appealing horse we've ever owned. Taco has put a Lot of miles on chasing cows, with both Thomas and Felicity putting equal amounts of time on him. We tried to keep this horse's options open by keeping him flexing and as supple as we could in a snaffle for barrel racing while switching the next day to a tie down and a bit to work on his roping. Taco has been doing barrel stations to build a foundation. We look forward to seeing which way this horse goes, it's in your hands now, you decide.

Lot 4 - SQ Olympic Gold (aka 'Nick')
1999 Black gelding

This tall, dark, handsome dude is the one everyone asks about. He is the total package - a finished ranch horse, a heading horse, a heeling horse, a hazing horse, and best of all, a babysitter. Here is your chance to own a horse that is just entering the prime of his life. He is great in the box on both sides, and as a bonus, he is black. Best put, Nick just never does anything to make you mad. Ladies don't pass this man by, he looks the part and with his beautiful mind, he'd make a fun winter project. Go ahead, he's ready. If we could build a horse on order for this sale, here he is. A custom-built model with all the features most sought after at last year's sale, a finished ranch horse that is under 15hh, pretty, easy to catch and will fit any level of rider. "Little Pete" as he was affectionately named by 3 of our nieces, doesn't know he is little. Alistair rode him all winter at the auction mart Lots of sale days clocking the hours. He has done every job on the ranch from roping bulls, to calving cows, to alley sorting. Pete will be missed, but he will do us proud whether he is being hauled as a rodeo heel horse, a team penning horse, or just staying home at the ranch to replace that damn 4-wheeler! Lot 6 - BMF Doc Zan Dell (aka 'Buck')

Finally, the beautiful buttermilk buckskin color every cowboy dreams of with the mind of a bay. Buck has been in Shawne's program all season long and is ready for any rider at any level to go ahead and have fun with. Buck has done it all from branding, to sorting, to roping yearlings and big cows, he is very catty and just plain kind-hearted.

Lot 7 - MJ Smoky Eyed (aka 'Jimmy')

This horse has seen Lots of miles this summer. Jimmy was rode at the auction mart after a solid start in the indoor arena. This smooth loping gelding has been moved into the ranch horse program and succeeded with ease. He has been treated on and tied off on. Jimmy is a half brother to Thomas's calf horse, Duke, which is a compliment to their Two-Eyed Jack breeding. Jimmy is ready to go to work for you, come have a look!

Playboy is the most effortless mover we have ever rode. He has so much natural talent in his barrel stations that it is just fun to ride him. His miles on the ranch have shown his natural cow. Commander is a big, strong 5 year old gelding that has been a fun horse to work with. He is a quiet, long-strided gelding that has a summer full of riding on him. This guy has good leg control and has been started roping in the pasture. Commander is a joy to be on and around, and will no doubt make somebody a nice horse.

Lot 11 - HQH Sonitas JC (aka 'Little Mike')

Cowboys, don't overlook this little ranch horse, he is tough as nails and he has done every job that the big boys have. Little Mike is first and foremost, an athlete. He is extremely cowy, and he can run so fast that his shadow shows up five minutes later. Mike is easy to rope on and can handle anything on the end of the rope, he ties off and is awesome in the sorting pen. Calf ropers, team ropers and team penners, circle this one in your catalogue. You won't be disappointed!

Cooper is a good-looking, quiet, young gelding. He is big, stout and strong with Lots of run. Shawne has been using Cooper around the ranch and really likes his mind. He is eligible for the next 3 years in the Southwest Ranch Horse competition held in Virden in August. Watch for Cooper on the video.

Lot 13 - Hollywood Copy (aka 'Junior')
2003 AQHA Chestnut gelding

Junior was built for cow work in the arena. He is 14.1hh and very stout. He will excel in the arena in calf roping, heeling, team penning or as a cow horse. Junior has been used lightly on the ranch moving cows with light roping duties. He has a great mind and is extremely trainable, talented and athletic. In the right hands, this horse has all the ingredients to be one of the best.
